Each year the Golden Globe Awards are presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to recognize excellence in film and television. The 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony took place on Sunday, January 11 in California and was hosted by funny female duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. For many, the awards show is not just about who wins in the different categories, but who shines on the red carpet. The carpet is full of fabulous ensembles as well as many fashion don’ts, but we’re sharing our top 10 fashionable looks from the 2015 Golden Globes.
1. Naomi Watts
Naomi Watts stole the show with her bright yellow, strapless Gucci dress that was cinched at the waist with a belt. She accessorized with a Bulgari diamond snake necklace, a white clutch, and a bold red lip. “Lemoncello” is a hot new color for Spring fashion – look for it on the runway!
2. Jennifer Lopez
Choosing an attention-grabbing dress, Jennifer Lopez wore a silver, crosshatched Zuhair Murad dress with a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit. Notice the statement earrings to top it all off with the mini clutch.
3. Emma Stone
Emma Stone looked ultra-chic in a glitzy Lanvin jumpsuit with a bow at the waist, straying from the crowd of evening gowns.
4. Reese Witherspoon
Witherspoon was the picture of elegance in a silver, metallic strapless Calvin Klein gown. She completed the look with some glitzy Tiffany & Co. jewels.
5. Julianne Moore
Another stunning metallic gown was worn by Julianne Moore. Her figure-flattering silver dress looked dip-dyed black at the bottom where the shimmer turned into feathers.
6. Kate Hudson
Kate Hudson’s sexy, Versace dress was absolutely gorgeous on her figure, with cut-outs that further accentuated her small waist and toned body.
7. Felicity Jones
This teal Christian Dior dress stood apart from the other revealing gowns on the red carpet. Jones chose to go for a prim and proper look with her elegant dress that had buttons going up the back.
8. Lupita Nyong’o
Lupita Nyong’o wore a beautiful white and lilac floral Giambattista Valli gown. Her violet lipstick and purple eye shadow matched perfectly with the dress.
9. Allison Williams
The Girls star looked like a princess with this tiered, red Armani Privé dress she chose after playing the leading role in the recent production of Peter Pan.
10. Jessica Chastain
Jessica Chastain’s bronze Atelier Versace gown had heads turning due to her cleavage-baring look. The shimmery, metallic colored dress may be her best look yet.
