In Bali, sandals are an all-year-round wardrobe essential. For many cities in the USA like NYC however, summer is one of the few times of the year where ladies can wear their toes out sport a freshly polished manicure. The sandal trends are always changing and it’s our jobs as fashion lovers to change with it. We’ve compiled a list of our favorite sandal trends at the moment and included unique jewelry pieces from our collection to go with them.

1. Gladiators

It’s difficult not to notice the gladiator sandal frenzy that has taken over this year. Many opt for camel and nude colors when wearing this look, but gladiators look just as good in other colors.  This look varies in levels of fierceness. The higher the straps go up your calf, the more bold your look. Lower calf gladiators are perfect for everyday wear with your favorite summer dresses and beyond.

Jinja Soul Mate: Gladiators make enough noise. Go minimal with our Sterling silver choker.

Birkenstocks and Saucer Sliders

Ugly is the new pretty… well in the shoe department at least. You may have noticed an overwhelming amount of clunky grandpa inspired sandals on the feet of fashionistas. No, these ladies not having an off-day or a fashion meltdown, Birkenstocks and saucer sliders are all the rage right now. You may or may not think they’re hideous, but we are always on board when comfort is on the style map.

Jinja Soul mate: The frumpalicious style of birks are best paired with feminine jewelry pieces like this Sterling Silver frangipani ring to keep the balance.

Thong Sandals

Thong sandals are one of the closest things to classic you’ll find in the summer shoe department. The versatility of these sandals is endless. Depending on your office’s dress code these sandals may even be appropriate for the workplace. In the same token they are great for summer activities too!
