Easter is steadily approaching! If you are anything like me, you’re taking inventory of your closet and preparing a festive outfit to celebrate in. Finding the perfect ensemble isn’t nearly as hard as finding the perfect accessories to go with it. We ladies want to wear something that says “Easter” but doesn’t scream “Easter Bunny.” When your outfit is already pastel from head-to-toe you want your accessories to compliment but not overpower. Here are 5 Fashionable Easter accessories that aren’t so literal.

1. Candy Colored Sunglasses

Eyewear is the perfect place to be festive. Sunglasses tend to jazz up any plain old outfit throughout the year and Easter is no exception to that rule. By applying Easter inspired colors and prints to your frames, you can subtly celebrate through fashion.

2. Flower Crown Glory

When it comes to tiaras, it’s hard not to think of toddlers, princesses and maybe cheesy glitter too. The key to pulling off a flower crown for Easter and spring is choosing a piece that uses understated flowers that are smaller or in mature colors. You too can be a flower child and look great doing it.

3. Egg Inspired Pendants

Another great way to loosely channel the holiday spirit is by choosing pieces that resemble Easter eggs but aren’t actual eggs. We’re grownups here! Choosing a piece that strategically uses fun graphics in colors that we can relate to is a great way to be Easter bunny friendly without being the bunny.

4. Nude Pumps

Nude Pumps

Finishing off your periwinkle colored dress with bubblegum pink pumps may be a recipe for disaster if you’re not careful. Beige, nude and natural toned shoes are a great compliment to candy colored ensembles. Not to mention, they’re also a great way to avoid looking like a walking Easter egg.

5. A Playful Bag

A Playful Bag

If you aren’t exactly gung ho about the idea of wearing a canary yellow dress or baby pink heels, your bag is a great way to incorporate Easter charm. By adding a solid pastel color clutch, or even a funky print bag you can still be festive! This bold holographic clutch does all the celebrating for you as it plays on Easter’s color story.
