It really feels like it was only a week ago when the polar vortex was ending and spring was beginning. I was definitely more than excited for this summer season, mostly for the fashion and the warm weather. Now that the summer is winding down, it’s time to wear all of your favorite summer pieces before it’s too late to wear them. After all, once Labor Day ends you’ll be packing away your white pants and shorts. Here are four accessories you have to wear before summer officially ends (which in my book is Labor Day weekend):
1) Flower Headbands
Flower headbands have been a huge trend this summer. Wearing a flower headband is great for the day when you don’t know what to do with your hair, and it’s hot out. It’s a cute look, perfect for the beach, shopping or a festival. The only problem with the flower headband trend, it’s only going to last the summer. For all of you ladies who have been rocking this look all summer, make sure you wear it again at least once before summer ends! Chances are you will not be wearing it come fall.
2) Themed Pieces
Summer themed jewelry, like these Jinja Jewelry flip-flop earrings, is seasonal. Don’t get me wrong, they are great for the summer and should be worn often, they just aren’t fall or winter accessories (unless vacationing someplace tropical!). The pictured earrings are great for a summer BBQ or a shopping trip!
3) Floppy Hat
I love this summer hat. It’s such a classic look! Sadly, it is an accessory that only works during the summer months. Once Labor Day weekend ends, this adorable hat is going to be put away with all the rest of your summer clothes. One of the things I like best about a floppy hat is that you can get away with wearing it almost anywhere! The beach, a BBQ, shopping and lunch are all great places to wear your summer hat one more time.
4) Colorful Necklaces
Although I am a big fan of color year round, bright colorful necklaces are really a summer staple. As beautiful as this Jinja Jewelry colorful necklace is, it is best worn in the spring and summer months. Trade in this colorful chunky summer necklace for a darker one from our fall line and you are ready for the new season!
