I don’t know about you, but I would be okay with extending summer a month or two. I wish! As sad as it is, summer is almost over. Soon we will be trading in our bathing suits for knit sweaters and our favorite sandals for boots. Although fall is definitely not the time to wear shorts, for the first month it is still okay to wear sandals. There are some sandals that can seamlessly transition into the new season, and some that are meant to stay in summer. Your bright, strappy sandals – those can be packed away until next summer! Here are four summer sandals that are also perfect for the fall (so don’t pack them away just yet J):
1) J.Crew Camden Sandals
These sandals are not only perfect for summer; they are also perfect for fall. I think that because they are dark in color, a fall color I must add, and are very structured, they just work. Picture these with dark wash jeans, a simple tee and a hunter green vest. A cute fall look, right?
2) Steve Madden’s NONSTP
I have seen these heels everywhere this summer! They are such an adorable heel and work both during the day and at night. There’s nothing better than a versatile heel, ladies! I think that these summer heels can be carried over into fall for a couple of reasons; the first being that they are chunky, the second being that they are dark. They are opened toed, so I wouldn’t wear these too far into October, but definitely make sure you are rocking these in September!
3) Vince Camuto Gladiator Sandals
A nice, dark pair of gladiator sandals is perfect for fall, especially in September. September tends to still be pretty warm, so sandals are okay to wear. I like these gladiator sandals, because there is a lot of material, so they don’t feel too summery. They are the perfect way to transition into fall! Plus, you can find them on sale!
4) Loeffler Randal Two Strap Sandal
These sandals couldn’t be more perfect for fall. They have a very simple and laid back look, which works great for the fall months. These are great to wear when you are having a laid back weekend. Similar to the other sandals pictured, these are dark and neutral in color, so they definitely can stay on your shoe rack for a couple more months!
