What to Wear Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend is officially the end of summer. It is the time to really enjoy the last few days of summer, before you have to start gearing up for back to school and fall. For some, Labor Day weekend means barbeques and pool parties. For others it means their last vacation of the summer. Even if you don’t have kids who are going back to school, or you are not in school yourself anymore, the summers still feel different than the rest of the year. For me, summers still feel like a vacation, even if I am working. Enjoy your Labor Day Weekend and end the summer having some fun! If you have a fun event to attend, here’s what you should wear Labor Day Weekend:

1) White

I had to go here. After all, if you believe in the saying “don’t wear white after Labor Day,” then this is your last chance to wear it. I personally love my summer whites, there is nothing classier! I always try to wear white pants Labor Day weekend, knowing that this will be the last time I wear them until next summer. Nothing says goodbye to summer like white attire!

2) Bright jewelry

What better way to end the summer than by wearing your favorite summer jewelry? Let’s face it; fall is no time for bright jewelry pieces, so you have to wear your favorites at least one last time. Even better, bright jewelry goes great with white clothing! Pair the two together and you are set for any Labor Day occasion.

3) Summer sandals

I know I am going to miss wearing my summer sandals. They are so comfortable and really cute. The great thing about most sandals is that they go with everything. Take advantage of the still warm weather and wear your favorite sandals out this weekend. You’ll regret not wearing them when the ground gets cold and they can no longer be an option.

4) Dresses

That short dress you’ve loved all summer – wear it Labor Day weekend! I can’t think of a better occasion for your favorite summer dress, than an end of the summer party. This weekend is a time to wear all of the things that in a week will no longer be season appropriate. Plus, a summer dress is always a good choice for a BBQ or cocktail party.

5) Your smile!

Even if you are sad about the summer end, make sure you bring your smile wherever you go this weekend. Enjoy what time is left of the summer!
