One of our favorite places in the world is Bali, Indonesia. It is truly a beautiful place. From the water to the jungle, your eyes will never disappoint you in Bali. If you haven’t started your bucket list yet, or Bali isn’t on yours, we recommend you add it now! If after reading this list you are not convinced that it is a wonderful destination, I would be shocked. We have visited Bali many times, our jewelry is made there, and on our visits we have compiled so many reasons why other people should be traveling there. Here are five reasons why Bali should be on your bucket list (if it isn’t already!):
1) The locals
If you are looking for more than just a beach and a cocktail, then you have to travel to Bali. The locals are a huge reason why this destination is so popular. We have met so many friendly locals, and we even support the schooling of one young local boy, because we love the people there so much. Bali is home to some of the friendliest locals in the world, and they will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We are confident you will leave Bali having made some new friends!
2) Rich culture
There are not many places in the world that you can travel to, be a foreigner and still feel totally immersed in the culture. Bali is one of those unique places. There are over 20,000 temples on the island, and tons of cultural events that take place every day. Colorful ceremonies and festivals with dancing and music are something you have to experience at least once in your lifetime.
3) Breathtaking views
In addition to the awesome culture you can find in Bali, you will also find breathtaking views. Picturesque rice terraces, soaring volcanoes, pristine crater lakes, sacred caves, lush tropical forests and a dramatic coastline are all views that the Balinese are accustomed to. Visit Bali and you will be too!
4) Waterfalls
One thing I can guarantee you will love about Bali is their amazing waterfalls. I had never seen so many beautiful waterfalls in my life! The Gigit waterfalls are the most popular, and plunge into a large pool, which is usually a hot spot for tourists. Swimming around in these waterfalls is just one reason you have to visit Bali!
5) Adventure
Most people that make a bucket list make it because they are looking for adventure. Bali is a destination with tons of adventure. From water rafting, to high ropes and waterfall swimming, there is so much adventure to go around. I know that if you travel there, you will not be disappointed!
